Ishpeming, Mich. - Mercyhurst was 11th of 13 teams at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships, hosted by Northern Michigan.

Victoria Caruso finished 42nd to pace the Laker contingent. She crossed the 6K course in 35:39.2. Beth Kenniston took 56th with a final time of 26:03.5. Jackie Jackson's 26:21 was good for 63rd in the 144-runner field. Carrie Franze finished in 112th with a time of 28:27.5 and Carrie Karsznia placed 115th with a time of 28:32.5.

Grand Valley had five of the top seven runner and captured the team title with 23 points. GVSU's Mandi Zemba was the individual champion with a time of 22:14.0.

Mercyhurst totaled 286 points, finishing ahead of Gannon and Northwood.

The Lakers will now get ready for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on November 5 at Ferris State.
