Edwardsville, N.Y. - Mercyhurst sophomore Shannon Morton (Warren, Pa.) finished 12th in a 148-runner field to lead the Lakers to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships Saturday, Nov.6. Morton had a 6-kilometer time of 22:54.15. Grand Valley State won the event with a 31 points. Mercyhurst scored 233 points to earn ninth.
