Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst is 10th in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 Poll released today. The Lakers concluded regular season play with a 15-8-1 overall record and a 7-3 mark in the CWPA. The 15 victories were the most-ever in one season in the program's brief history.

Meanwhile, sophomore Christine Somera and senior Cassie Rand were named to the CWPA Western Division All-Conference First and Second Teams respectively.

Somera started all 23 games and totaled 33 goals (third on the team) and 38 assists (second) for 71 points (third). She led the Lakers with 45 drawn ejections and was third with 36 steals.

Rand also started all 23 contests. She led the Lakers with 60 goals, was third in assists with 21, and second in points with 81. She also led the team with 65 steals and had 17 drawn ejections.
