NORTH EAST, Pa. - Cathi Korenich set a school record for goalies with seven assists as Mercyhurst cruised past Penn State Behrend, 16-4.

Eight different players scored goals for the Lakers (7-10, 2-3 CWPA), including seven who scored multiple goals.

Mercyhurst jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one quarter, then extended the lead to 11-2 after the second.

Reserve Kallen Dearnbarger scored her first three goals of the season in the win to lead Mercyhurst. Chrissy Genian, Christie Haibach, Carrie Willison, Rhonda Marable, Sam Shehan and Jenna Jefferds each scored twice.

Willison had four assists. Haibach returned from injury to add five steals, while Marable added four.

In addition to her seven assists, Korenich - in her first career start - added five saves.

Mercyhurst heads to the Siena Invitational on March 31-April 1 for three matches, beginning with Slippery Rock at 10:30 a.m. on March 31.
