Erie, Pa. - Cassie Rand scored nine goals over a pair of Mercyhurst wins at the Behrend Invitational. The Lakers downed Colorado College 14-6, then took out Utica 10-1.

Christine Somera scored five goals against CC, with Rand adding four scores and three assists. Carrie Willison dished out six assists, and also scored a pair of goals.

Mercyhurst led 7-4 at the half, then outscored the Tigers 7-2 over the final two periods to seal the victory.

Gina Meiras had her fourth straight double digit save game with 13.

The Lakers then rolled past Utica by a final of 10-1 behind five goals by Rand. With its second win of the day, Mercyhurst improved to 6-5 on the season.

Mercyhurst held the Pioneers to just a single goal in the second period.

Somera had four assists and two goals, while Willison had three assists and two scoers.

Mieras made six saves.
