Cal Lutheran Tops Lakers, 10-6
March 17, 2007 ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Four different players found the back of the goal for Mercyhurst, but the Lakers dropped a 10-6 decision to Cal Lutheran at the Wolverine Invitational. Christine Somera turned in her fifth straight two-goal match, while Jenna Jefferds also scored a pair for Mercyhurst. Carrie Willison and Rhonda Marable scored single goals for the Lakers, who fell to 4-7 on the season. Mercyhurst trailed by just a goal, 3-2 after the first period, but Cal Lutheran built the lead to 6-3 at the half and never looked back. The Lakers finish action at the Wolverine Invite with a match against Grove City at 3:50 PM. |
