Allendale, Mich. - The Lakers drop three games to #2 Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, 30-15, 30-26, 30-15. Mercyhurst is now 6-12 overall and 1-9 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Grand Valley is now 16-1 overall and 9-0 in the GLIAC.

The Lakers were held to 28 kills, one ace, 29 digs, and two total blocks. Grand Valley State had 52 kills, 10 aces, 35 digs, and 6 total blocks.

Kristin Peterson led the Lakers with 12 kills and one dig for 12 points. Jenna Matson had eight kills, four digs, one block solo, and one block assist for 9.5 points. Julia Butler had 25 assists on the day.

The Lakers have a three game home stretch starting with Saginaw Valley on Friday, October 6th, Northwood on Saturday, October 7th, and Gannon the following Friday, October 13th.
