Detroit, Mich. - The Lakers fall to the Warriors in three matches, 30-17, 33-31, and 30-17, Friday night in Detriot, Michigan. Mercyhurst fell to 6-7 overall and 1-4 in the Great Lakers Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Wayne State is now 1-8 overall and 1-3 in the GLIAC.

Wayne State led game one and three wire-to-wire. In game two, Mercyhurst fought to keep the lead at 29-27. The Warriors then went on to score three points in a row for a 30-29 lead and then finished out the game at 33-31.

After the match, Coach Patton stated, "We got off to a slow start but had the opportunity to win game two. We face them again for our last match of the season and look to square things."

Up next for the Lakers is another away game at Hillsdale in Michigan tomorrow Saturday, September 16th at 2pm.
