Marquette, Mich. - Mercyhurst fell to undefeated Northern Michigan in three games, 30-22, 30-26, 30-22. The Lakers are now 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Wildcats are now 11-0 overall and 3-0 in the GLIAC.

The Lakers were led by Jenna Matson with 12.5 points, ten kills, two aces, six digs, and one block assist. Lauren Kubinski followed with 8.5 points, seven kills, two assists, four digs, and three block assists. Kristin Petereson had 7.5 points, seven kills, ten digs and one block assist.

Megan Elliot led the Wildcats with 16.5 points, 16 kills, 12 digs, and one block assist. Sam Schulte followed close behind with 16 points, 13 digs, two digs, two block solos, and two block assists.

Up next for the Lakers is Michigan Tech on Sunday, September 10 at 2pm at Houghton, Mich.
