Feret's Big Day Leads Lakers Past West Virginia State, 8-0
March 25, 2007 Salem, Va. - Jen Feret pitched a perfect game and hit two home runs as Mercyhurst defeated West Virginia State in five innings, 8-0, in the team's final game at the Salem International Tournament. Mercyhurst, who went 2-3 in the tournament is now 7-10 on the season. Feret was not the only Laker to homer in the contest, as Mercyhurst also got long balls from Megan Houston and Melissa Rizzo. Houston's home run was the first of her career. West Virginia State fell to 8-19 on the season. Up next for the Lakers is at cross-town rivals Gannon University stadium on Thursday, March 29th at 4:00 p.m. |
