Fort Myers, Fla. - An RBI single by Mercyhurst's Jen Feret in the bottom of the seventh stunned No. 8 LeMoyne, 2-1 in softball action at the Florida Gulf Coast Tournament.

With two outs andd Melissa Rizzo on third, Feret knocked a base hit up the middle to bring home the winning run.

Feret also started the game inside the circle for Mercyhurst, going 5.2 innings and striking out nine. She surrendered just four hits and three walks, while holding the Dolphins to just a single run.

Brittany Strier picked up the win with 1.1 innings of perfect relief. She struck out a pair of Dolphins.

Feret scored Mercyhurst's first run in the bottom of the first inning on an LeMoyne error.

It was the first of two games on the day for Mercyhurst. The Lakers also face Palm Beach Atlantic at 3:00 PM in Fort Myers, Florida.
