Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst women's soccer team has earned the No. 2 seed for the GLIAC Championship this weekend at Grand Valley State. Grand Valley State is No.1, followed by No. 2 Mercyhurst, No.3 Findlay, No. 4 Saginaw Valley State, No. 5 Ferris State, and No. 6 Northern Michigan.

The Lakers are set to compete on Friday at 11:00 a.m. against the winner of the Northern Michigan-Findlay game. Northern Michigan and Findlay play Tuesday at 3 p.m. Earlier in the season, Mercyhurst defeated both Northern Michigan 1-0 and Findlay 5-0.

The Lakers are currently ranked fourth in the NCAA Regional rankings. The top six teams in the region advance to the NCAA playoffs and a strong showing in the GLIAC Championship could help solidify a bid.

Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and children, and $2 for students with IDs.
