Erie, Pa. - Sophomore Taylor Hilinski was the first Mercyhurst women's soccer player to be honored this season as the GLIAC Player of the Week. Mercyhurst posted two wins this weekend by defeating Charleston 4-0 and West Virgina Wesleyan 7-0.

Hilinski scored two goals and tallied two assists for a career high six points in Mercyhurst's win over West Virginia Wesleyan. She now has ten points on the year, already surpassing her six points total in the 2006 season. Hilinski has two two-goal games on the season and has been the first reserve off the bench much to the benefit of her team. She is currently second on the team in points behind junior Sarah Powell (14).

Hilinski and the Lakers return to action on Friday, when it squares off in a conference match at Northwood University. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
