Last College:
Boston University '84

Position:
Head Coach

Years at Mercyhurst:
5

Keith Cammidge finished his 19th year as a head college coach in 2006 and fifth at Mercyhurst. Prior to Mercyhurst, he headed up NCAA Division I programs at Northeastern University, Drexel University, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

Cammidge has an extensive background at the collegiate, Olympic development, and regional levels of soccer. He has been awarded coach of the year honors several times at the conference level and also received nominations at both the regional and national levels.

While working also serving as the head coach of the highly successful men's squad, Cammidge has led the women's team to 67 victories, three NCAA Tournament appearances and a GLIAC title in just five seasons. He needs six more wins to pass John Melody (1997-01) as Mercyhurst's all-time winningest coach.

He had an immediate impact on the Mercyhurst programs in his first year, as he took the men's team to the NCAA Tournament in Virginia Beach, Va. The men received their first ever national No. 1 ranking in 2002 and finished with a final mark of 17-2. The women also had a fine season, finishing with a 13-4-2 slate.

Under Cammidge, the women's team has improved its win total each year since 2003, and in 2006, the Lakers won 16 games (the second-most in school history) and capured their first conference title since 2001.

Cammidge earned his bachelor's degree in physical education and exercise physiology from Boston University and his master's degree in sports management from Northeastern.

He played collegiate soccer as a midfielder at Boston and was a member of the 1980 NCAA Tournament team and 1981 ECAC championship team.

Cammidge is also a nationally licensed coach through the United States Soccer Federation and English F.A.

He was born in London, England, and is married to the former Maureen Daly. They have a son, Ryan, and daughters, Kelly and Clara Rose
