ERIE, Pa. - Chelsea Boothe of the Mercyhurst College women's rowing team was selected as one of just 20 Division II National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

To qualify, a student-athlete must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average or higher. The student must also be in at least her second year of eligibility and must row in a varsity boat during no less than 75 percent of the spring schedule.

The selection was the second of Boothe's career, as the junior was also named to the 2005 team. A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was part of the Lakers' 2004 Division II NCAA Championship team and was named an All-American that year.
