GRAND RIVER, Mich. - The Mercyhurst College men's and women's rowing teams combined to finish third at the Mid-American Collegiate Rowing Association (MACRA) Regatta. Mercyhurst tallied 42 points, trailing only Ohio State's 51 and Grand Valley's 48.

Mercyhurst's best finish on the women's side came in the novice four, where the Lakers finished second overall in 9:07.55. In the preliminary round, the Lakers were second overall and second in their heat with a time of 9:20.78.

The varsity eight claimed third in the six-boat Grand Final with a time of 7:49.92 after opening third in their heat and fourth overall in 7:59.44.

The lightweight four ended in third place out of five, rowing a time of 9:13.33.

In the varsity four+, the Lakers were fourth in the Grand Final with a 9:02.95. With an 8:49.35 in the opening round, Mercyhurst was third in its heat and sixth overall.

The novice eight turned in an 8:37.20 to finish fourth out of eight.

Mercyhurst travels to the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia on May 11 & 12.
