Findley Lake, N.Y. - The Mercyhurst women's rowing team swept two events against Eastern Michigan Saturday at the Lakers home course in Findley Lake, N.Y. The varsity four and varsity eight each beat the Eagles.

In the first race, the varsity eight, Mercyhurst beat Eastern Michigan by almost seven seconds, posting a time of 6:43.61, while the Eagles completed the course in 6:50.55.

The final race of the day was the varsity four and the Lakers pulled away to win with a time of 8:21.06. Eastern Michigan's time of 8:29.94 was more than eight seconds behind. D'Youville also competed in the event and finished with a time of 9:42.76.

Mercyhurst will compete next in the East Regionals Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa.
