Mercyhurst Captures Pair of Third Place Finishes at Knecht Cup
April 15, 2007 CAMDEN, N.J. - Both the women's club four and club eight finished third in their races as Mercyhurst competed at the Knecht Cup. After finishing second in its heat with a time of 8:20.9, the Lakers moved to the finals in the club four and finished third to Division I teams from Maryland (8:13.3) and Lafayette (8:19.5) with a time of 8:24.5. Mercyhurst was the only Division II school in the event. In the club eight, the Lakers again took third place. Mercyhurst's entry finished with a time of 7:36.8. Dowling (7:00.2) won, with Lafayette taking second (7:19.1) The Lakers return home for a dual against Eastern Michigan on April 21. |
