Erie, Pa. - The Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team was one of 96 squads honored for academic achievement by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). The recognition is given to teams which compile a 3.0 overall grade point average or better for the 2006-07 academic school year.

Mercyhurst had a 3.065 grade point average to rank as one of 14 NCAA Division II schools honored. The team went 7-5 in 2007, losing all five games to ranked opponents.
