Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst College sophomore Breanna Haggerty was named second team All-Region by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) after a season in which the attacker led Mercyhurst in just about every offensive category.

In 12 games, Haggerty racked up 42 goals and 16 assists for 58 points. She was second on the team with 22 ground balls and 22 draw controls. As a junior, she will be a captain for the 2008 squad.

Haggerty scored at least one goal and had two points in every game this season. She scored multiple goals in 11 of 12 games and finished the season with seven goals in a 23-10 win over Presbyterian. She finished with eight points in a game twice, adding an assist to her seven goals against Presbyterian and posting four goals and four assists in a win over Seton Hill.

The Lakers finished the 2007 season with a 7-5 overall record, losing all five games to Top 10 teams. The Lakers set the single game goal scoring record in the 2007 season by finishing the year with a 23-10 win over Presbyterian.
