Slippery Rock, Pa. - The No.7 Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team broke the single-season program record with a 21-1 win over Slippery Rock. The Lakers are now 12-2 this season with its only losses coming to No. 1 C.W. Post and No. 3 Adelphi. Breanna Haggerty led Mercyhurst with eight points on five goals and three assists. The Laker defense held Slippery Rock scoreless in the first half and tacked on sixteen goals to led 16-0 going into the final 30 minutes of play. Haggerty tallied all of her points in the first half and multiple Mercyhurst players stepped offensively to supply the remaining goals. The Lakers outshot Slippery Rock 23-2 in the first half and goalkeeper Maeve McGoff tallied one save.

Mercyhurst ran through multiple offensive sets and it showed as every Laker line attacker scored a goal.
