Mercyhurst Moves to No. 5 in USCHO.com Women's Poll

Minneapolis, Minn. - Despite a split last weekend at No. 8 Dartmouth, Mercyhurst moved from No. 6 to No. 5 in the latest USCHO.com Division I Women's Poll released today. The Lakers blanked the Big Green 7-0 Saturday before dropping a 6-4 verdict Sunday. New Hampshire regained the No. 1 spot by defeating last week's No. 1 team Harvard Friday night at home and Minnesota Duluth advanced to second with a pair of road wins at St. Lawrence.

Mercyhurst will be idle until January 12 and 13 when it travels to Providence. The Lakers will return to the Ice Center January 18 and 19 when they begin an 8-game home stand against Yale and Brown.
