Brampton, Ontario - Four Mercyhurst College hockey alumnae have been chosen to play for the 2008 Canadian Women's National Inline Hockey Team. Defenseman Michelle Bonello will play for Canada as will forwards Jackie Jarrell, Teresa Marchese, and Samantha Shirley.

This year's World Championships will be held July 5 through July 12 in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The first Women's World Inline Hockey Championship took place in 2002. Canada made the championships game each year through 2006 and took home the title in three of the first five years. Canada was not able to attend the 2007 World Championships in Spain because of financial difficulties.
