Mercyhurst Stuck on No. 7 in USCHO.com Poll

Minneapolis, Minn. - Mercyhurst is still stuck on No. 7 in this week's USCHO.com women's poll released this afternoon. Harvard, New Hampshire, and Minnesota Duluth, Mercyhurst's opponent next Saturday in the first round of the NCAA playoffs, remained one, two, and three respectively. Mercyhurst won its sixth straight College Hockey America title last weekend and will take a 26-7-3 mark to UMD, 31-4-1. The Bulldogs went 1-0-1 against Mercyhurst during the regular season and defeated Mercyhurst 3-2 in overtime last March in Erie in the NCAAs.

The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and USA Hockey Magazine, the most widely distributed hockey magazine in the world.
