Ravensburg, Germany - Team Canada, aided by five Mercyhurst players, reached the championship game of the annual European Air Canada Cup today, with 7-0 and 7-2 wins over Germany and Sweden respectively earlier this weekend. Canada and Finland meet for the title today.

Junior Valerie Chouinard and freshman Jesse Scanzano collected goals while sophomore Meghan Agosta (2) joined senior Stephanie Jones and Scanzano with assists as Canada blanked Germany 7-0 in its second game of the tournament.

Canada then roughed up Sweden's Olympic netminder Kim Martin on its way to a 7-2 verdict. Agosta got her team off to a great start with a shorthanded goal in a four-goal first period effort. Chouinard tallied the eventual game-winner on a first period power play. Scanzano also notched a power play goal later in the contest. Senior Laura Hosier won for the second time in the three games. She did not see action against Germany.
