Before Mercyhurst: Began playing hockey at the age of 5 and played with boys until she was 13...joined AIK, a Swedish women's team at 14, and participated with a number of eventual Olympians...AIK won a gold medal at the Swedish Championship in both 2003 and 2004 and captured four silver medals and a bronze in other years...won the European Championship in 2005 and 2006 and the Under-18 Eastern District Tournament twice in four attempts...was named the best Forward in 2003 and 2004 and was among the team's top five scorers in 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004...played her first game with the Swedish Women's National Team as a 16-year old...that team finished fourth at the World Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2004...played nearly 25 games for Team Sweden and three games for Sweden's Under-22 team.
