Email: akemp@mercyhurst.edu Aaron Kemp finished his fourth season as assistant women's hockey coach and was promoted to co-associate head coach in the summer of 2007. He has helped oversee the Lakers to a record of 109-25-14, four CHA Championships and four consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament. Kemp was also recognized in 2005 as part of the AHCA Staff of the Year. Kemp joined the Lakers' staff after serving as the assistant men's hockey coach at his alma mater, Canisius College. Prior to that, Kemp coached the Buffalo Saints AAA midget team and began his coaching career with the Ridley College boy's varsity team. The Burgessville, Ontario, native played Junior B with the Kitchener Dutchmen and the Cambridge Winterhawks, and then played four years at Canisius College. Kemp earned both his bachelors degree in physical education (1999) and his master's degree in sport administration (2004) from Canisius. He and his wife Darcey, who works as the Director of the Student Union at Mercyhurst, live in Erie. They are the proud parents of son, Jackson, born in February of 2007. |
