Email: pcolontino@mercyhurst.edu Paul Colontino returned to Mercyhurst in 2007-08 for his fourth year with the program. After serving as an assistant coach with Mercyhurst for the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons, Colontino headed west to help start the women's hockey program at the University of North Dakota. There he served as the assistant coach, working primarily with the defense. Mercyhurst is also Colontino's alma mater. He received his bachelor's degree in Archaeology (2000) and his master's degree in Organizational Leadership (2002). He was also a four-year member of the men's ice hockey team where he captained the squad as a senior. In addition, he was honored with the Mercyhurst College Student-Athlete of the year award, was named All-MAAC co-defensive player of the year, and was a first team ALL-MAAC selection. Upon graduating, he served as an assistant coach for the women's ice hockey program for the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. The Lakers have won 70 games in his three seasons on the staff and captured both the GLWHA title in 2001-02 and the CHA in 2006-07. The 2006-07 squad also made an NCAA appearance. Paul and his wife Gina live together with their two dogs Talus and Jada. Gina is currently in Medical School. |
