Erie, Pa. - On Tuesday, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced the Longstreth/NFHCA Division II All-American teams, and Mercyhurst's Kristen Fogle earned second team mention.

It is the second career honor for Fogle, who was named All-America by womensfieldhockey.com in 2006.

Fogle, a sophomore defender, was the key cog in a defense that allowed just over three goals per game this season. Along with starting all 16 of the team's games, she tied for second on the team with two goals and recorded one of the team's four game-winning goals. With Fogle on defense, the team allowed two or fewer goals in nine games.

Fogle was the lone Laker to be honored this year and is the first Mercyhurst NFHCA All-American since Catrina Scheaffer in 2004.
