Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst raises the curtain on the 2005 season Friday, August 26, when it welcomes Bellarmine to Tullio Field for a 4:00pm tilt. Both teams finsihed the 2004 season at the .500 mark. The Lakers won nine of 18 matches while the Knights ended 10-10-1.

The Lakers return three of their top four scorers, including sophomore forward Erin Kelleher (4g, 3a), senior midfield Misty Dennis (3g, 4a), and senior midfield Lindsay Jackson (3g, 4a). Junior GK Julie Smith played all but 87 minutes last year and had a 3.44 goals-against-average.

Mercyhurst will stay at home to play East Stroudsburg Saturday at 1:00pm.
