Mercyhurst senior midfield Catrina Sheaffer (New Bloomfield, PA/West Perry) was named First Team Division II All-American Monday, November 15, by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

Sheaffer, the team's captain, played in all 18 matches this season for the 9-9 Lakers and finished with three goals and three assists. Sheaffer was also chosen recently to play in the 2004 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All Star game scheduled Saturday, November 20, at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
