Slippery Rock, Pa. - The Lakers shutout Slippery Rock 4-0 in the match-up Saturday afternnon at Slippery Rock, Pa. Mercyhurst is now 5-6 overall and the Rock is 1-12.

The Lakers jumped out quick with the game winning goal by Emily Warren at 5:38 in the first half. Courtney Monin scored at 28:31 with an assist by Megan Rasmussen. Warren scored her second goal of the game at 50:47. Rasmussen scored the fourth and final goal at 65:06. Julie Smith had four saves on the game.

The Lakers outshot the Rock 21-5 in the game. The Rock's goalie Tara Bailey had four saves on the game.

Up next for the Lakers is Seton Hill at home on Thursday, October 19 at 6pm.
