Lakers Defeat Seton Hill 3-0
Oct. 1, 2005 Greensburg, Pa. - Mercyhurst defeated the Seton Hill Griffins 3-0 with one goal in the first half and two in the second. Scoring first for the Lakers with 26:30 left to go in the first period was junior Lauren MacEllven with an assist by senior Christine Smith. In the second half, senior Katie King scored with 21:05 left and was assisted by freshman Cortney Witchey. Scoring unassisted with only 6:16 left in the game was senior Misty Dennis. The Lakers were also backed by junior netminder Julie Smith who made 19 saves. Next up for the Lakers is Bellarmine in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, October 2. |
