Philadelphia, Pa. - The host Philadelphia Lady Rams defeated Mercyhurst 3-1. The Lakers tied the game early in the second half on a goal by freshman forward Courtney Monin. The goal was assisted by junior middler/defender Megan Smaling. But the Lady Rams scored two goals in three minutes to turn back the Lakers.

Julie Smith started for the Lakers and made eight saves.

Mercyhurst's record is now 2-6.

Mercyhurst will return home for the following weekend. It will host St. Francis (Pa.) on Friday, September 23, at 5:00pm.
