Bloomsburg, Pa. - Bloomsburg's Jamie Vanartsdalen scored four goals as the Huskies defeated Mercyhurst 7-0 in field hockey action Sunday. The Lakers fell behind early and were never able to bounce back.

Bloomsburg scored three times in the first ten minutes and rolled to a 6-0 halftime lead. While Mercyhurst held the Huskies to only one second half goal, the Lakers were unable to break through for a goal.

Julie Smith made 16 saves playing the entire match in goal for Mercyhurst. Bloomsburg outshot the Lakers 43-8 for the match.

Mercyhurst, now 2-2 on the year, will play at C.W. Post Saturday.
