Mercyhurst Field Hockey falls to Division I Robert Morris

Moon Township - The Mercyhurst women's field hockey team dropped to 0-4 on the season after losing 2-1 to Division I Robert Morris on Saturday at Moon Township, Pa. The Colonials (1-3) were led by senior Shawna Kushner's two goals and the stellar goalie play of Kate Dunlap who almost posted a shut out had it not been for Laker sophomore Emily Warren who scored her second goal of the year at 50:38. The Lakers were outshot 14-9. Junior Jennifer Coleman had six saves in over 48 minutes of play and junior Jen Macri added two more without allowing a goal over the final 21:43. The Lakers next game is Sunday at noon against C.W. Post. |
