Bay City, Mich. - Junior Matt Deragon, previously named the college's Male Athlete of the Week, picked up the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Men's Runner of the Week Award today.

Deragon finished ninth of 151 runners at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational last Saturday. His time of 27:00.6 helped the Lakers to a seventh place finish in the 8,000 meter event. Deragon received an award for being among the top 15 finishers.

He and the Lakers will run in the GLIAC Championships at Northern Michigan on Saturday, October 22.
