Slippery Rock, Pa. - Kenneth Foster paced the Mercyhurst men's cross country team as the Lakers finished eighth out of 10 teams at the Slippery Rock Invitational. Shippensburg won the meet with 44 points.

Kenneth Foster's time of 27:31 put him in 20th place overall, while Josh Peterson placed 31st in 27:53. Matt Deragon was Mercyhurst's third finisher in 52nd place with a time of 28:33. Mike Humphrey followed in 57th place at 28:49 and Kurtis Billig ended 68th in 29:36.

Nate Smith was 72nd in 29:47 and Kevin Szczepanski was 74th in 29:56.

Mercyhurst will compete in the GLIAC Championships at Findlay Saturday.
