Salem, W.Va. - Slippery Rock parlayed a 5-0 advantage in the third quarter into a 12-5 win over Mercyhurst Saturday night at the Division II Eastern Championships. Mercyhurst dropped to 5-12 overall as it bowed to Slippery Rock for the third time this season.

Andrew Schonhoff led Mercyhurst with three goals and an assist. Jeff Tullis started in goal and played the first and third quarters. Patrick Staab saw action in the other two.

Mercyhurst will play for third place Sunday morning at 10:00. A setback then would force them to the fifth place match at 1:00pm.
