Washington and Jefferson outscored Mercyhurst 7-3 in the second and fourth quarters claiming the 11-7 decision.

After a 2-2 first quarter, the Washington and Jefferson Presidents outscored the Lakers 4-1 in the second quarter.  In third quarter, the teams divided four goals evenly; finally, the Presidents outscored the Lakers once again 3-2 in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Oscar Calderon led the Lakers with three goals and one assist while freshmen Jorge Montero, Mihailo Jovanovic, and Andrew Schonhoff each had a goal.

Senior Patrick Staab played most of the match and had six saves.

The Lakers will try to rebound on Tuesday, October 4 at Gannon.
