Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst outscored Gannon 5-0 in a decisive fourth quarter as the Lakers posted a 12-7 win over the Golden Knights Saturday at the Gannon pool. The win was the first-ever for Mercyhurst over Gannon and squared its overall record at 3-3. Gannon dropped to 1-7.

Gannon led 2-1 after a quarter and 4-3 at halftime. But Mercyhurst squared matters at 7-7 after three quarters and exploded for five markers in the fourth.

Zach Bell led the way with five goals while Andrew Schonhoff added three. Patrick Staab went all the way in goal and was credited with eleven saves, two assists, and two steals.

Mercyhurst will resume conference play Sunday morning at 11:00 when Washington & Jefferson visits the Mercyhurst North East Aquatic Center.
