Muncie, Ind. - Mercyhurst fell to #14 Ball State in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Quarterfinals on Saturday in three games, 30-25, 30-23, 30-21.

The Lakers were led by senior Nate Keegan with ten kills, one dig, one block solo, and one block assist for 11.5 points. Freshman Tim Wagner had ten kills and six digs for ten points. Senior setter Dan Kick had 26 assists and two kills for two points.

Nick Meyer led the Cardinals with ten kills, three aces, and four digs for 13.5 points. He was closely followed by Patrick Durbin with nine kills, two aces, and six digs for 11.5 points. Setter Dave Carlson had 43 assists, three kills, 11 digs, and one block assist for 3.5 points.

Ball State will continue onto the semifinals held April 27 in Chicago, Ill. The Cardinals enter the match with a 21-6 overall record.

This match concluded the Lakers 2005-2006 season. The Lakers finished with a 3-21 record overall and a 1-11 record in the MIVA.
