Erie, Pa. - Ball State defeated Mercyhurst in three games, 30-25, 30-20, 30-23. The Lakers fell to 3-19 overall and 1-11 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA). Ball State improved its overall record to 20-5 and 8-4 in the MIVA.

In the Lakers last home match of the season, they were led by senior Nate Keegan with 13 kills and two digs for 13 points. Junior Mike Palaschak had nine kills, one assist, two digs, and three block assists for 10.5 points. Senior Brady Hunter recorded a season high of five kills, four digs, and one block assist for 5.5 points. Hunter was perfect in the first two games of the match and only record one error in the third. Senior Dan Kick recorded two kills, 34 assists, four digs, one block solo, and two block assists for four points.

The Cardinals were led by Mark Termion with 14 kills, one ace, seven digs, and three block assists for 16.5 points. Doug Willmann recorded nine kils and five block assists for 11.5 points. Setter Dave Carlson had four kills, 39 assists, one ace, three digs, and four block assists for seven points.

The last match of the regular season for the Lakers will be on Thursday, April 13th at Juniata at 7:00 pm.
