Erie, Pa. - #10-ranked Loyola of Chicago proved to be too much for Mercyhurst Saturday as the Ramblers downed the Lakers 3-0. The scores were 30-18, 30-24, and 30-25. Loyola improved to 19-6 overall and to 9-1 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Shondell/Dunlap Division. The Lakers fell to 3-17 and 1-9 rspectively.

Nate Keegan and Mike Palaschak led Mercyhurst with eight kills each. Dan Kick totaled 50 assists and had the squad's lone service ace. Dave Newman collected three blocks while Jordan Pierson and Kick had five digs apiece.

Four players had ten-or-more kills for Loyola, which hit .505 for the match.

Mercyhurst will conclude its home season next weekend when conference rivals Lewis and Ball State visit the Athletic Center Friday and Saturday for 7:00pm matches.
