ERIE, Pa. - Nate Keegan had a match high 13 kills, but the Red Flash of St. Francis (Pa.) took out Mercyhurst in three games. Game scores were 30-21, 30-20, 30-22.

With the loss, the Lakers fall to 3-16 on the year, while St. Francis improved to 13-8.

Chad Proudman had 10.5 points with eight kills and both Mercyhurst aces. Dan Kick had 31 assists.

Marc Honore had a match-high 19.5 points from 12 kills, six blocks and three aces. Jonathan Sherrick had seven kills in nine attempts without an error. Shane Conley dished out 31 assists.

The Lakers hung tough early in each of the first two games, before the Red Flash opened up leads with big runs.

Service problems plagued both teams. The Lakers had 15 service errors, with the Red Flash committing a dozen.

St. Francis hit .383 in the match, compared to just .104 for Mercyhurst.

Mercyhurst returns to action on April 1 with a match against Loyola of Chicago at 4:00 PM in the MAC.
