Erie, Pa. - Mercyhurst was defeated by No. 14 Loyola University in three games, 30-21, 30-27, and 30-12 on Saturday afternoon at the Mercyhurst Athletic Center.

The Ramblers led wire-to-wire in game one and three. In game two, the Lakers led by as many as two points seven times, with the last time at 10-8, when Loyola finally took the lead. Although the Ramblers led the rest of the way, they never led by more than four points.

For the Lakers, Mike Palaschak led with 11 kills and one ace. Palaschak had a hitting percentage of .500. Marcus Dos Santos and Tim Wagner each had six kills. Dos Santos had seven digs to lead the team.

Joe Guntli led the Ramblers with 13 kills, two digs, two block assists. Ian Anderson had ten kills, two aces, two digs, and three block assists. George Kamberos led with 11 digs and Nick Lamoureux led with five block assists.
