Chicago, Ill. - The Mercyhurst men's volleyball team lost its fourth consecutive match, dropping a 3-0 decision to No. 15 Loyola Saturday 30-22, 30-17, 30-14.

Mercyhurst never threatened in the match as the Ramblers hit .481, including an astonishing .625 in the clinching final game. Mercyhurst outblocked Loyola as a team 6.0-4.5 but the Ramblers had 12 aces, eight from George Kamberos, and held the Lakers to a .109 attack percentage.

Jonathan Gurr led Mercyhurst with eight kills and Dave Newman added seven on 12 swings without and error for a .583 attack percentage. He also had a team-high four blocks. David Hatten led the team with 22 assists and five digs.

Loyola improves to 12-9 overall and 5-3 in MIVA play as Mercyhurst falls to 3-15 overall and 0-8 in the conference. The Lakers will begin a four-match homestand Thursday as the team hosts D'Youville at 7 p.m. Mercyhurst defeated D'Youville in four games earlier this year.
