Buffalo, N.Y. - The Mercyhurst men's volleyball team took a game to get rolling but cruised to a four-game victory over D'Youville Wednesday. The victory was the first in 10 tries this year for the Lakers. Mercyhurst won 25-30, 30-20, 30-21, 30-24.

After dropping the opening game, the Lakers rolled through games two and three finished the fourth game with a 10-2 run to close out the match.

Jonathan Gurr had 14 kills and Dave Newman added 13. Mercyhurst hit a season-best .400 for the match.

D'Youville falls to 4-2 on the season and Mercyhurst improves to 1-9. The Lakers will be back in action Tuesday when they host Medaille at 7 p.m.
