Midland, Mich. - Mercyhurst will be in Michigan Friday and Saturday for the annual Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tennis Tournament. #5-seed Mercyhurst, 9-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference, will play #4 Lake Superior State, 7-6 and 4-3, Friday morning.

Lake Superior State defeated Mercyhurst 7-2 in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich April 1, in a match a lot closer than the score indicates. Three singles' matches, all won by LSSU, went to three sets and two doubles' contests, split 1-1, were decided by 8-6 scores.

The winner of the Mercyhurst/Lake Superior State match will get the winner of the #1 Northwood/#8 Findlay match Friday afternoon. The loser gets the loser of #7 Michigan Tech and #2 Ferris State later Friday.

All matches will be played at the Midland Tennis Center.
