Findlay, Ohio - The Mercyhurst men's tennis team crushed Findlay 9-0 in GLIAC action Friday. The Lakers did not drop a set in improving to 4-2 in conference play this year.

Mariano Fava led the squad at the top of the lineup, winning 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and pairing up with Lee Michael Marnik for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.

Along with the 8-1 victory at No. 1, the Lakers swept doubles play with an 8-5 victory at No. 2 and an 8-4 win at No. 3.

Marnik won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, while Mijo Cotic had a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 3. Mateusz Przybysz grabbed a 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 and Ronald Heurich won 6-2, 7-5 at No. 5. Finally, Kyle King had a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6.

Findlay falls to 6-14 on the year and 1-6 in the GLIAC. Mercyhurst climbs to 12-5 overall heading into a critical conference match Saturday. The Lakers host Wayne State, 3-3 in GLIAC play, Saturday at 2 p.m.
